Potterwookie

Potterwookiee
by Obert Skye

Rating:  4 of 5 stars – This book is better than most.

Summary:
When Rob's closet gets mixed up because of some books and a mad science kit, out pops a creature that is a mix between Chewbacca and Harry Potter. When Rob's closet creates that creature, Rob's life changes again. Throughout the story Rob and Harry go on many adventures and obstacles including: girls, bullies, cooking, younger siblings, and spells. Along the way Rob and Hairy will be dragged along into many institutions filled I mean filled with drama. Don't miss out on a story that will make your socks fly off!

Review:
There are many things about this book to love, here are somethings I thought were very lovable: drawings to go with every situation, lots of humor and drama and of course the one and only Potterwookiee named Hairy. The best parts were when the potterwookiee popped out of the closet and when the cooking show on Average Chef happened.

Babe the Gallant Pig

Babe the Gallant Pig
by Dick King-Smith

Rating:  5 of 5 stars - It's hard to imagine a better book!

Summary:
Babe the piglet and Farmer Hogget have a close relationship even though they have only known each other for about 20 minutes. Throughout the story you go on adventures, fights, bonds, happiness, amazement and sadness. Whoever likes animal bonds, classic stories and comparing books to movies would love to read this book. Don't miss out on a adventure of a lifetime!

Review:
Babe the Gallant pig is a great book for whoever likes to hear about animals saving each other, animal bonds and happy endings. Some of the best parts are the sheep dog show, the ending, and the market day. What I liked about this book was that the author used so many interesting words. While you read this book you feel like you are inside the story watching everything that happens. I hope you can follow Babe throughout the story!

A Tangle of Knots

A Tangle of Knots
Rating:  4 of 5 stars – This book is better than most.

Summary:
This book takes place in a world where everyone has a talent. Some talents are useful, like science, or knitting. Others are not. Cady is an orphan with a talent for baking the perfect cake for each person she meets. When she is finally matched with the perfect family, she meets a man who steals talents for a living. Will Cady be able to keep her talent safe?

Review:
I enjoyed that this book was about different people with different talents, or no talent at all, and it was told from different points of view. I was surprised at how everything came together in the end - there was quite a bit of mystery throughout the book. I did feel like the end was a little lacking, but the recipes printed through out the book are really cool. I think anyone who likes a little mystery and possibly baking would really enjoy this book.
